Our Origin Story at the Corcoran’s Cahersiveen Store

For Corcoran’s, it’s safe to say that our Cahersiveen store is where it all began. In 1999, we opened our first store just outside the coastal Kerry town of Cahersiveen, on Valentia Road.

Supplying furniture and carpets to the people of South Kerry and beyond, it wasn’t long before our original Cahersiveen store needed to expand. We grew from a cosy 2,000 square foot shop to the expansive 30,000 square foot showroom that exists today. 

A generously-sized car park ensures that visitors will always have a space to park when they come from Cahersiveen and around Kerry and all of Ireland. 

Celebrating two decades in business with a brand new look

The Cahersiveen store may be the oldest of our locations, but we always keep it up to date with the latest furniture styles and trends. 

In 2019, to celebrate 20 years in business, our Cahersiveen store underwent considerable renovation work. As well as a full refurbishment, we added an extensive flooring department. 

Our newly revamped store was unveiled to the public in October of 2019—a huge success attracting new and existing customers from all over.

Our Staff

At the helm of our Cahersiveen team is store manager PJ Sugrue. A Cahersiveen native, in 2020 PJ celebrated 15 years with Corcoran’s, making him one of our longest-serving employees.
